There is a flaw in your logic good sir. As you may notice, you stated exhibit #1 is a so called “vent”. Here’s where you are greatly mistaken. A “vent” denotes an orifice where hot air is generally removed from an area (i.e. an engine bay). What it really is, is what is commonly known as an intake. An intake serves the chief purpose of allowing outside air to flow freely (or guided through piping/tubing) into areas of a vehicle where there is, more often than not, an excess of heat (i.e. brake discs or an engine bay). I win.
